TOMMY TALLARINO NIGHT
"The HIT Vegas show you can't tell nobody you saw."
A 6-piece band plays on stage as the audience is being seated. The band, all dressed in dark suits and ties, plays the classics from Dean Martin, Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dion and the Belmonts’ “Run-around Sue”, Tony Bennett's "I left My Heart in San Francisco”. The band is young and hip, also blasting out the current hits from Michael Buble’, Bruno Mars, and Maroon 5.
A large multi-media screen set above the stage accompanies the band, flashing pictures of New York and New Jersey: Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Hoboken (Sinatra’s hometown). Harlem and Brooklyn Neighborhoods. There are also pics of legendary comedians and entertainers: Jackie Gleason, Rodney Dangerfield, Desi & Lucy, Milton Berle, and of course The Rat Pack members. The tone for the entire evening is set... which will always be cool, hip and classy New York. The band plays the final warm-up song, Rosemary Clooney’s “Mambo Italiano”. A spotlight comes up and lands on Tommy Tallarino the host of the show. Tommy is well dressed in a dark suit, well-groomed with a cool charm. He enters through the back of the showroom; stopping in the aisles to greet audience members and shake hands, complimenting the well-dressed couples and asking if their seats and cocktails are okay. Tommy takes the stage, "We have a great show for you tonight. Some beautiful music as you've already heard from our band. Give it up for The Fuhgeddaboudit Boys! And to all our Italians in the audience I say "Bona Sera, Bona Sera." And to all our dyslexic Italians in the audience I say "Sonny Bono, Sonny Bono." Tommy introduces each act to the stage: There will be a variety of new talent: Impressionists, Jugglers, Ventriloquists, special guests and a gang of Tommy T’s comedian and actor friends from his days in Hollywood and New York, as they all want to come through TT Night. Tommy comes back on stage and performs 30-40 minutes of his own hilarious, clean material on his family, his kids, his friends and his New York Italian viewpoints on Apple products, Facebook, and Twitter. Tommy closes the Night with a show-stopping bit. The Night's other entertainers join Tommy on stage as they sing the audience out with an Italian classic. The media screen flashes lyrics from “That’s Amore” as Tommy and friends step into the audience, asking the audience to sing along. The audience loves to join in, swaying back and forth while singing and watching themselves on the large screen as the entire theater closes the show together. “Good night everybody! Have a wonderful and safe evening, and thank you for spending TOMMY TALLARINO NIGHT with me and my friends... now get outta here and FUHGEDDABOUDIT!!!” |
